Certification Exam Spring 2026

CTTIC certification exams (May 30, 2026)

The certification exam is managed by the Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council (CTTIC) and administered by ATIS in Saskatchewan.

Only members in good standing with ATIS are eligible to register for this exam.
The examination is intended for experienced translators and interpreters who wish to have their competence recognized by their peers. It does not seek to identify aptitude or potential, but rather to attest to a candidate’s professional skills. A candidate who can produce a translation that is faithful and idiomatic and requires little or no revision is deemed capable of practicing independently.

The next round of the CTTIC certification exams will take place on May 30, 2026, in person. We can offer an online exam for members unable to travel to Regina or Saskatoon (proof of reasons for accommodation is required).

Deadline to register is April 30, 2026 (email to [email protected]). Please provide your full name, email, phone number, language combination for the exam and preferred exam location: Regina or Saskatoon, or online (METTL platform).
Exam fee: $630 per language combination.
