ATIS - ASSOCIATE TRANSLATOR EXAM- SPRING 2025

Spring is in the air, and consequently, the ATIS Spring Session for the Associate Level Exam is upon us. Below, you will find all the information needed.

1) The Spring 2025 ATIS orientation session for new candidates will be on Saturday, March 29, at 10AM (Zoom). Please register by March 26. If you have attended an orientation meeting prior, you do not need to attend again. Unless, you'd like to. For new candidates, the meeting is COMPULSORY.

2) All applicants. Please register by sending all relevant information - name, contacts, language combination(s), location in Sk - , by sending an email to [email protected].

3) The ATIS associate level exam will be hosted on Saturday, April 26, 2PM, in Regina and/or Saskatoon (in person). The hard deadline to register is April 11.
Please be aware that online exam option will only be available if there are circumstances that do not allow a candidate to sit an in-person exam in either Regina or Saskatoon.

As a reminder, the exam consists of a general text (newspaper level) of about 200 words and you'll have 2 hours to translate the text. The best way to prepare is to translate articles from newspapers, talk to your peers, contact somebody from the ATIS website in your language and ask for top 10 advices when translating for an exam.
